⛄ Once again this year, Venus Adored and Kurk Mumfuzz will be lighting up the skies of “WISH” with their incredibly amazing display of particles.
Get your invitation & landmark at the Calas Galadhon Announcement Group – very important because a NC with information on the settings you need to be able to view the particles. Just “ADD” the invitation and click on it for your contents!
We’ll be restarting the siims abt 12:45 then reopening at 1pm . It fills up fast so arrive early for the show @ 2PM ! Below is the info on that notecard:
P L E A S E N O T E -> Show begins at 2:00 pm SLT but please arrive at least 15 minutes early for a better experience as we will be flashing textures into your viewer cache. This pre-show display will help you to see the particles more immediately when Venus and Kurk throw them…
Please note also that the particle display works so much better when we are not competing with heavily scripted avatars for the sim server’s attention, and that is why we ask you to please reduce your script count and complexity by as much as your vanity will allow…

If this is not your first experience with particles then you probably have your settings just as you want them…
If you are new to particle lights or not sure, don’t worry. Venus and Kurk’s lights don’t require any special settings. Just make sure you have the following set in your Graphics Preferences (these suggestions are primarily for Firestorm users)…
-> Draw distance set to 256 meters up to 360 meters (if you can)
-> Graphics Quality set to High or Ultra (if you can)
-> Max. particle count set from 4096 to 8192 (if you can)
-> Render Attached Particles (checked in Rendering tab)
Also, set your viewer to “Use Shared Environment” (World > Environment > Use Shared Environment). If you cannot share the environmental settings, setting to Midnight will be your next best option…
Be sure to render Venus Adored and Kurk Mumfuzz fully…
P L E A S E N O T E : A warning for anyone who might be vulnerable to any kind of seizures (such as epilepsy) that we can create a lot of bright flashy visual noise and this particle display should probably be avoided. I strongly recommend that anyone who might suffer any kind of seizure should not attend this event…
Finally, a word of appreciation to Ty Tenk and Truck Meredith and all our friends of Calas Galadhon. Please be generous with your donations to Calas Galadhon. You are encouraged to spend time exploring the Calas Christmas Wish sims. And here is your stash of LMs to get you there…
Best Wishes to all in this Special Season…
Venus and Kurk
We selected an eclectic European and American playlist to accompany our display of lights. We hope you will enjoy this program.
